Tokyo Olympics - Seven Indian Medalists

In Tokyo Olympics 2020 India gets Seven Medals. Olympic is the world's top sports event. And currently, the Tokyo Olympic 2020 edition got ended on Sunday with a grand ceremony.

In this Olympic. On Saturday the day before the ending of the Tokyo Olympics, India gets Gold Medal. This is the first-ever Gold medal for India in Tokyo Olympic 2020. The Indian athletic Neeraj Chopra gets Gold in Javelin Throw. It's only the second Gold medal for India in Olympic history.

India gets a total of seven medals in Tokyo Olympics event out of which, 1 Gold, 2 Silver, and 4 Bronze. In this Olympics, India ranked 48 on the medal table. The US has topped the list by winning 113 medals. China is on second by winning 88 medals, and Japan is on third in this list by winning 58 medals.

Neeraj Chopra- Tokyo Olympics Gold medalist

The wait is finally over! And India gets her second individual Gold medal in Tokyo Olympic event. The dream became true for India. The Indian Athletic Neeraj Chopra got a Gold medal in Javelin Throw in Tokyo Olympics. Neeraj throws 87.58m in the finals of the javelin throw and gets the gold medal in the javelin throw.

He is the only Indian athlete to win gold in the individual field track athletes event. And performed consistently throw out the year. He won several major competitions he participated. In 2016 he won a Gold medal in the IAAF world under 20 championship.
Neeraj also gets a Gold medal in the 2018 Commonwealth Games ( CWG) and Asian Games.

Mirabai Chanu: Tokyo Olympics-Silver-Weightlifting

The Indian Weightlifter Mirabai Chanu gave India a brillent start on the first day of the Olympics by winning the Silver medal. This was the first time India bagged the medal on the first day of the opening ceremony of Tokyo Olympic 2020.

Mirabai is the second Olympic medal winner in weightlifter after Karnam Malleswari won a Bronze medal in the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

She lifted a total of 202 kg (85 kg+115kg) to win the silver medal. Mirabai also won the Gold Medal in the 2017 world Championship.

Ravi Kumar Dahiya: Wrestling-Silver in Tokyo Olympics

Ravi Kumar Dahiya, the Indian wrestler won a second silver medal in Tokyo Olympics. He won this medal in the men's freestyle under the 57 kg category. He is the second Olympic medalist in wrestling after Sushil Kumar. Like Sushil, Ravi also gets training in Chhatrasal Stadium.

His best performance in Olympics was in the semi-finals. He defeated Kazakhstan's wrestler Nurislam Sanayev by 2-9 in a single stage.

Ravi won the Bronze medal at the 2019 world championship. Which helped him to qualify in Tokyo Olympics. He also won the Gold medal in the 2020 and 2021 Asian Championships.

Bajarang Punia: Wrestling-Bronze

Bajarang Punia is an Indian freestyle wrestler. He won the Bronze in Tokyo Olympics 2020. And it's the third medal for India. He deserves to win Gold in the Tokyo Olympics, but a knee injury obstructed his campaign.

After the injury, He bravely fought back and defeated Kazakhstan's Daulet Niyazbekov by 8-0 and claim the Bronze Medal in Men's freestyle in the 65 kg category.

Bajarang is the only Indian wrestler to won three medals at the world wrestling championships. He won one Silver and Two Bronze medals at the world wrestling championship.

P.V.Sindhu : Bronze-Badminton

P.V.Sindhu got a Bronze medal in Tokyo Olympics in women's singles in Badminton. He defeating Chiana's He Bing Jiao in the Bronze medal match. She hoped to win Gold but lost in the semi-final match against Tai Tzu Ying but Sindhu bounced back and win by 21-13 and 21-15 and became a bronze medalist in Tokyo Olympics 2020.

With Bronze Sindhu became the only Athletic to won medals in consecutive Olympic events. She also won the Silver medal in Rio olympic2016.

In total, in 2019 world champions Sindhu won a total of five medals. He also won Gold in the 2018 Commonwealth Games and Silver in the 2018 Asian Games.


India Men's Hockey Team: Hockey-Bronze

The Bad luck in hockey is finally broken at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Indian men's team won the Bronze medal in this Olympic after 41 years. India beat Germany in the Bronze medal match and create history. The last time India won the medal in hockey was in 1980 when they won a Gold medal.

This Olympic event is full of unforgettable victories. India finished in 2nd position in pull A and defeated Britain in the quarter-final, and reach the semis for the first time in 49 years. In 1980 there was no semi-finals match.

India lost to Belgium in the semi-final match, but they fought back in the Bronze medal match against Germany by winning 5-4. This is the 12th medal in Hockey that India won in Olympics. India wins 8 Gold medals in hockey so far. Because of this medal in hockey Indian fanbase celebrate this victory all over.

 Lovlina Borgohain: Boxing-Bronze

Lovlina is an Indian boxer. He made her debut in Olympic 2020 by winning the Bronze. She became the third Indian boxer to win a medal in Olympics.

In Olympics, her Highlighted game was in the quarterfinal, against former world champion Nien-Chen. Lovlina won this by 4-1. She lost in the semi-final match against turkey's Busenaz Surmeneli.

She also won two Bronze medals in the world championship.

These all are the real heroes for India. On the other hand, all of the participants of the Tokyo Olympics event prove themselves by giving her 100%.
